The Stereotype

This rant might come off as arrogant or odd but I'll try to do the best I can. Ever since I got the best gift ever for Christmas, TiVo, I've been recording everything in sight. So when I saw a cheesy made-for-TV movie starring Hilary Duff was on ABCFamily, I had to record it. Last week, I snuggled up with my boyfriend's slanket (no judging...it's comfy) and watched Beauty and the Briefcase. Although it was uberpredictable and extremely corny, I loved it. At twelve thirty in the morning, I was cheering Lane, Duff's character, on as she raced to confess her love for the guy who was always there for her (no name will be revealed...WATCH IT YOURSELF)! But there was one thing that I reeeaaaaaalllly hated in the movie: the fashion. Lane is supposed to be an aspiring journalist with a crave of all things fashionable. So in every single scene, she is decked out in extremely bright clothes with polka dots, plaid, and stripes. I know that fashion is in the eye of the beholder, but I feel like fashionistas are frequently portrayed as bimbos who don't know anything else but "the history of polka dots" (Legally Blonde. Case and point). If t you like polka dots, that's fine, but fashion is more than bright cheery colors. In my mind, Lane and Elle Woods were so similar! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Legally Blonde (ask anyone who knew me circa 2002-2003) but I hate the portrayal of a fashionista. Elle did some great work at Harvard Law school, but it would always be related to beauty and fashion. That's fine too, learn from what you know, but I just think that fashionistas are dumbed down for society and I don't get why! Because we (well I'm still aspiring, but I will include myself in this elite society for the sake of the argument) care about how we present ourselves to the world? Is that such a dumb thing to do? We're marketing ourselves! Honestly, if you open up the pages of Harper's Bazaar or Vogue, you see a bunch of great pieces but ARTICLES. WE'RE NOT READING PICTURE BOOKS. Okay I'm tired and this rant is getting a bit stupid. Fashionistas are smart. Done. xx

I Heart Zac

Whenever I think of Zac Posen, the picture of the SATC girls- Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda- walking towards Carrie's wedding comes to mind. Those three gorgeous bridesmaid dresses were revolutionary, in my mind: Posen "poo poo-ed" the idea of a homogenous collection of shitty fabric and unflattering color and ultimately made a wedding, a fictional wedding but a wedding nonetheless, a fashion show. So without a doubt, he's a genius. Of course I was intrigued, and excited, to see what he was cooking up for Target, this whole primer designer for less thing is a trend of it's own! Quite honestly, I loved it. Absolutely loved it. I may go so far to say that I loved it more than his more expensive things! When browsing through the lookbook, I thought this but I was afraid to come to terms: shouldn't I be liking the multi-hundred apparel? But then I realized how silly that is! The thing about fashion is that you don't have to be a bajillionaire to have good taste; of course, I knew this before but that uber- cliche moral really came to life in this collection. Although I like to try new things, I generally aim towards the girly and sparkly things (who doesn't like shiny things). Consequently, this collection is just CALLING my name! There's ruffles, florals, even gold swimwear (I want gold swimwear, how sick would THAT be)! It's just fun. Everything about it: fun, fun, fun! I think one of my favorite pieces was the loose tank top that had "Zac" written in "lipstick"(pictured). I know it's kind of anticlimatic to like that one so much but I thought it was girly and fun and it would be so cute to wear with a high waisted skirt of some sort. And the prices were pretty good, typically ranging from $40-$200. I've always liked going to Target, it's really the perfect way to kill time. But a big thank you to Mr. Posen because he gave me another reason!

MY SUMMER MUST HAVES

I AM SO EXCITED FOR SUMMER!! The weather is so amazing, I've resumed my jogging regime, and I'm pulling out my warm- weathered clothes. But, this also means that I need to go on a SUPREME shopping excursion! Of course I need more skirts, shorts, dresses, and everything! BUT I would like to purchase two new items: jellies and floppy hats. I remember back in my youth, I used to wear jellies. Of course, they were ugly and resembled Tevas (don't even get me STARTED about Tevas). But instead of those ugly things, I want a really cute pair of jellies, preferably flats. I really reeeaaaalllllyyy LOVE the Stuart Weitzman "Pellets" Jelly Ballet Flat (pictured, I loved the pink)! I think these are just so springy, cute, really Charlotte York, and just so precious!! AND I WANT A FLOPPY HAT! I don't know what kind of floppy hat I want, but I definitely want it. I can just picture it: on a beach (probably the town pool) in a string bikini, my huge Dior sunglasses, and A BIG FLOPPY HAT?! I mean, Samantha had so many hat tricks and movements in Sex and the City: The Movie. There's just such a mysterious vibe that coincides with a big floppy hat, Who is that girl? Why is her hat so big? I WANT THAT. I tried some hats on when I went shopping with my mom at Bloomingdales today, and I didn't love any of them. So I shall begin a floppy hat search, updates later! The next step, bathing suit shopping!!

Model Behavior

While flipping through today's newspapers, something caught my eye on the cover of The Journal News. Obviously, it was something about fashion. I then continued to learn about an emerging trend that I am extremely excited about: models that depict a real woman! For countless years and runway shows, we have been bored with the same rail thin models strutting down the runway. I personally wonder how they are able to walk under hot lights, in super high heels, without collapsing. We deem them as "chic", but what's so "chic" about looking hungry all of the time? I have absolutely no upper body, but I am almost confident that I could snap any of those models! All I need to say is THANK GOD the fashion world is starting to incorporate REAL women into their shows and campaigns. Although I have moments of teenage self-consciousness, I am fairly comfortable with my body. But to be brutally honest, fashion magazines can occasionally make me feel like I need to be a double 0. And I'm sure I'm not alone. The fact of the matter is, not all fashionistas are thin as angel hair spaghetti (not like they would eat it...). I think chic is NOT synonymous with skinny: I think it is having a good eye for fashion and confidence, regardless of weight. In the fashion house's most recent runway show, Louis Vuitton had healthy models, resembling Scarlet Johansson! It was so refreshing to see women the rest of the world can relate to! To me, it says that you can eat that slice of cake and look fabulous! So instead of stressing about being a model, just enjoy everything, even those oreos in your pantry!

Some Extra Flare

Whenever I think of flared pants, I can only think of 1960- 1970 hippies: strikes for peace, Woodstock, flowy dresses, and everything in between. But lately, flares have been making a come back, and I am personally loving it! The fashion of our past honestly had some of the greatest trends and pieces out there. But being the indecisive girl that I am, I can never be inspired by just one time period. This hippie period, as I like to call it, is extremely fascinating: I just love the relaxed atmosphere that is further portrayed in the fashion. When I first heard about this emerging trend, I had some reservations. Although flared pants sounds like a good idea in theory, it isn't a universally flattering, or loved for that matter, trend. But the revival of the pant allows a variety of fashionistas to wear it! Chloe rocks the very loose flared trouser,Pucci has a very embellished pant, Rochas (pictured) uses cool leathers, Issey Miyake created a capri flared pant (intriguing, right?), and Derek Lam has a fitted version of the trend. Needless to say, I really like this trend. Even if someone is not influenced by the hippie era, this pant has its pros. You can essentially go flared and embody any persona, not just the peace loving chic from way back when. And now I really want some flared pants...shopping excursion? Yes.

The Power of Red

First of all, I'm really sorry this blog is all over the place! I feel really guilty for not blogging in a while and am going off on a tangent, so bear with me! I just came back from college-ing and fell even more in love with the university I'll be attending come fall.I stocked up on my school apparel, and obviously red was one of the colors. I've always thought that red was such a great color: it was flattering, powerful, sexy, glamorous. Just like Christian Louboutin soles. I discussed the Louboutin/collaboration in my former blog, but I have never exactly analyzed how amazing Christian Louboutin is in my blog: he is honestly a genius. He knows exactly what a woman wants: comfort, appeal, and recognition. And his shoes do just that. I hope to have a whole closet of Louboutin heels when I grow up; I have already started my collection (a chartreuse leather wedge: they are comfortable and make my legs look great)! I love how he can create fun and sexy shoes in different heights and silhouettes. Of course we all love our stilettos, but there's only so much of it we can take! I've always found his inspiration so interesting: showgirls. As classy as we all love to say we are, I just know that everyone secretly wishes they danced in sequins and sparkles. But Louboutin can make shoes that are classy and fun at the same time! And the red sole was genius. It was unprecedented but the smartest thing. Women love feeling empowered as they strut down the street, with their red sole peeking out during each step. And it furthers Louboutin's brand! You know how people brought back the "Volkswagen punches", I think there should be "Louboutin punches" whenever somebody spots the red sole! Good plan? Whenever people think of high fashion heels, I feel like Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik (thank you, Carrie Bradshaw) are the first brands to come to mind. But I really feel like, no offense to the other two (you have my complete love and admiration as well), Christian Louboutin is where it's at. I think we all need to start paying attention to him, his shoes, and the iconic red sole!

The Royal Life

It may sound morbid, but I remember exactly where I was when I heard about Princess Diana's crash accident (may she rest in the most glorified peace): at only age five, my eyes were glued to the television screen really late at night when the news broke out. My mom let my sister and I stay up super late as we kept our thoughts and prayers on her and her fiance. Twelve years later, I still remember that vividly. When I was eight, I did a book report on Princess Diana, which ultimately taught me that brave and courageous princesses were not only found in Disney movies. A few years ago, I watched that Lifetime movie about the apparent conspiracy with my mom (I thought the ending was a little unsatisfying). Now that I'm older, I have taken an interest into her style. And quite frankly, she dressed like a chic princess! No wonder why some of her dresses are being auctioned off at Kerry Taylor Auctions on June 8th. I should make it clear right now that her wedding gown is NOT being sold, but an ivory paper taffeta gown used by Diana for fitting is for around three thousand change (pocket change)! But let's be honest, her wedding dress is probably one of the most iconic and beautiful wedding dresses in the history of wedding dresses. The train, the delicacy, ANY bridezilla would love to have it! And the black taffeta Emanuel dressed prove that black isn't just for mourning (I seem to defend black a lot, don't I?). Her suits were always in beautiful colors and classy. In some ways, Princess Diana's style reminds me a lot of my girl Audrey (Audrey Hepburn, that is): both don't need overbearing accessories to look fabulous but they can still pull of the chicest ensemble. Although I do hate the minimalist look, I think there is a limit on what is too much. And these ladies, Diana and Audrey, know it!

Laced to Perfection

As an aspiring fashionista, I am always on the prowl for good fashion taste everywhere: on the streets, in school, and in magazines. So I was extremely happy to find this spectacular number on www.teenvogue.com. I really wanted to see the movie Remember Me but not for the reason everyone else wanted to: Rob Pattinson. Personally, I'm more of a Taylor Lautner kind of girl. The plot seemed interesting but, besides good 'ol Rob, I had no idea who was in the movie. Apparently Emilie de Ravin is. And apparently, she dressed quite well to the London premiere of her movie. I've always been a big fan of lace: it can be feminine, sexy, old school glamour, or all of the above! But it can also be something else: old lady. Some people can pull of the lace quite beautifully, but others fail and look like a reject from Grandma's closet. But Emilie did it perfectly; the short dress, bowed waist, and some lace on skin action made her look like a feminine sexy vixen from Old Hollywood. To put it bluntly, I loved it. I sometimes think that people are afraid to wear lace, in fear that they'll look too matronly. Quite frankly, you can wear lace anytime: a mini, a sexy dress, a sweater with lace detailing, or even your lingerie! And in terms of the color: I thought it was genius. In my personal opinion, lace can only be worn as outter wear in either dark or nude colors. NO NEON LACE. I also think that people instantly associate black to being "emo". I wear black all of the time and I consider myself a rather happy person! Emilie de Ravin looked chic and sexy in black. In conclusion, a major fashion do in my book! This outfit doesn't have to beg to be remembered, it'll never be forgotten!

glee.

I don't know how many people are aware of my past, but I used to be a theater girl. Ever since I could remember (I'm talking since pre-school), I would have a busy schedule of acting (I would frequently call it "drama class") and dance classes. I was involved with a plethora of musical productions (including the Westchester Broadway Dinner Theatre's production of "A Wonderful Life" in 2001...NBD). Although my theatrical years have passed, I was made to love Glee: the witty humor, the show-stopping musical numbers, and Mark Salling and Corey Monteith? WHY CAN'T THEY FIGHT OVER ME?! Because I'm more of a Kurt/Rachel combination, not a Quinn. So in celebration of Glee's return, I decided I should blog about the new Glee clothing line. Yes, the phenomenon will have a clothing line. Based on the main character's personal style, the undetermined carrier will begin to sell this clothing line in the fall of 2010. As much as I love this show, I would NEVER want to dress like the characters...well maybe Emma Pillsbury (she has some cute cardigans). I am no fan of Tina's rocker look and Rachel's old lady apparel. Personally, this is just a way to market the show. Power to the executives, but I will really hate if Glee became over marketed to the irreversible "cheesy zone". All of their songs are amazing, I am eagerly waiting more songs on iTunes, but the fashion is not enviable. Nonetheless, Glee is AMAZING AND EVERYONE MUST WATCH TOMORROW AT 9:28. Yes, the time is random buut

Superman 'Dat....oooh?

Leighton Meester at the Date Night premiere in New York City. Thoughts? First of all, I didn't know that Meester was in Date Night, but evidently she plays the babysitter of Fey's and Carell's fictional family. And now the outfit. After many research attempts, I have no idea who created this dress. Like many critics, I like the outfit...just not the cape. I think that Meester matched the gladiator inspired heels and geometric print very well: it's almost like a past and future meet and have a nice dinner. The sporadic specks of green spice it up a bit...but the cape spices it up too much! As a fringe fan, I tried to love the fringe, I really did. But I just couldn't: the fringe contorts Meester's frame. You know what would've been kind of cool? Instead of a fringed cape, the skirt of the dress was fringed! I do admire Leighton Meester, though: she takes good risks and is rarely boring! I'm never a big fan of Leighton's make-up. To me, her face either looks overdone or underdone. But, I'm no beauty blogger. So Leighton, nice concept, but lose the cape!

I Love the 90's?

I like to think of myself as a positive person, therefore, I don't love writing negative blog posts. But there are some things I simply can't stand for. Let's run through my day, shall we? Even though the weather was absolutely horrific, I still wanted to go jogging. Usually, I wear a baggy T-Shirt and nylon soccer shorts (they move so well). But it was so hot today, I unfortunately had to wear two sports bras and my shorts (sorry for the TMI). But I tend to not "shake what my mama gave me", so I pulled up my shorts to hide navel. So I'm on the walking portion of my regime and my shadow looked EXACTLY like a crazy 1990's fashionista. And then it hit me: Beverly Hills 90210 fashion. The 90's provided great television shows on Nickelodeon, and I do love my old school and new school 90210, but some terrible fashion. I think what bothers me the most is that there was absolutely no rule. It's quite hypocritical of me because I do believe fashion shouldn't have rules...to an extent. Anybody has the right to wear anything, but there are some things that are deemed "trashy" or "trendy". NOTHING WAS TRASHY AND EVERYTHING WAS TRENDY! Baring navels was not sluttish, it was hip. And so was wearing feminists blazers with obnoxious shoulder pads...and baby dolls dress...and tacky Hawaii print (Luke Perry, I'm coming after you in the selected picture)... and baby doll dresses...and overalls... and baggy pants...and tight pants....WHAT IS THIS?! The only appropriate way to define 1990's fashion: too much of everything. Take 90210, for example: the farther they got into the series, the more ridiculous the outfits got! Like Donna Martin. First of all, she's my absolute favorite: I just love her ALWAYS. But her sense of style circa season six went so downhill. But at the same time, it didn't because THAT'S THE 90'S FOR YOU!! It's a love-hate relationship, essentially. I don't really know how to end a rant appropriately...so yeah...other decades are better...

Mah Gurl, Cheryl

Still completely enamored with all things London, I of course purchased and constantly listen to the Cheryl Cole CD, "3 Words". My personal favorites? "Fight for this Love", "Parachute", and "Heaven". I think this woman can honestly do it all: she has a wonderful career, is absolutely gorgeous, and can still remain on top after battling a terrible divorce from her husband. But I had no idea she was such a fashion icon! So just imagine my excitement when I found out Cole won the coveted title of "Best Dressed" in Glamour's 8th Annual "Best Dressed Women's List". But she is no stranger to being a fashionista. Last year, she was Britian's best dressed celebrity in the eyes of GMTV. The X Factor judge exercises "her fashion mojo" (Henry Holland's words, not mine) by wearing some spectacular designers: Giles Deacon, Marios Schwab and Richard Nicoll. Upon receiving this news, I decided to research her fashion look.I then realized why she is the "Best Dressed Woman": she has variety. Cheryl Cole does not wear the same cookie cutter outfit. She experiments with colors, lengths, inspirations, and silhouettes. The beauty of Cheryl Cole is that she is still sensible while following trends. Some fashion icons (cough, Rihanna) take too many risks and ultimately look foolish, instead of fashion forward. Everything looks well put together, but not extremely predictable. I am actually glad that a well known fashionista, like Rihanna (this blog post may turn into a bashing Rihanna's personal style entry even though "Rude Boy" is Emily and my London jam) didn't win this coveted prize: it is about time we get some new fashionistas to inspire us. Cheryl Cole is one of those people I would love to meet in my life. I can relate to her songs, her life, and ultimately her fashion. So congratulations, Cheryl!

The Bunny Hop

In the spirit of Easter, Happy Easter by the way, I figured that I should blog about something... festive. Consequently, I decided to share my thoughts about one truly scary trend: the bunny ears. Bunny ears typically belong to storybooks, voluptuous Playboy Bunnies, and the ever-so popular Easter Bunny that commercializes this holiday. They do not coincide with high fashion and innovative fashionistas. As you might have already guessed, I am not a fan of this look. Instead of edgy and chic, it looks childish and cartoonish. I can't see a way this is fashion forward: it feels wrong, like you are playing with a four- year- old's dress up clothes. What perplexes me most is how many major aspects of this industry have deemed this headpiece chic, Louis Vuitton and Topshop included. And the bunny effect continues as household names carry on this trend: Madonna, Mary Kate Olsen, and Ashley Olsen (I think this is the first time I have ever separated the two and made them their own person...improvement). I am all for avant garde creations and innovative head pieces, but don't go Peter Rabbit on me! I would list products if anyone wanted to incorporate this trend into their wardrobe but I personally think it should be stopped right now. A good alternative, however, could be a big bow: it is similar to the bunny ears, but there is no need to be hopping around and eating carrots! A bow exudes a whimsy vibe, think Alice in Wonderland. And let's be honest, wouldn't you rather be Alice instead of the White Rabbit? I think so! Yes, it is Easter, so wearing bunny ears today is fine. But tomorrow, it is officially not chic in my eyes.

Chic Read

Calling all Carrie fans! I just learned about perhaps the chicest book that's coming sooner than next Fashion Week. Let's walk through the experience, shall we? While hanging out with two of my absolutely fabulous friends yesterday, we walked into Borders in hopes of finding a book. I've recently had an issue with books: the thrill of plots, characters, and setting are lost due to the treacherous essays and critical analysis that has dominated my high school career! I used to love reading so much as a younger child, but I now feel like it's chore. "Read up to Chapter 8 and answer these questions". It's quite overrated. But I am always trying to find something captivating that will let me fall back in love with reading. I didn't have any luck, so I decided to check out some magazines. And there is was, on the cover on this month's Teen Vogue: "EXCLUSIVE Book Excerpt! The Sex and the City Prequel!" It felt like I may have had a heart attack. I quickly opened up the magazine and searched for the designated page. So this is what I've gathered: Candace Bushnell, the angel who inspired the Sex and the City series, has decided to write a book about high schooler, Carrie Bradshaw, in "The Carrie Diaries". Evidently, it is about friendship, boys, and 80's fashion. So basically like Sex and the City Jr? COUNT ME IN! Of course, the book must be different than the television series, so I suggest that we all get to know Candace Bushnell's Carrie Bradshaw before we read this book. There are many criticisms saying that a younger set of readers won't understand the 80's throwbacks; so we'll learn them! Unfortunately, this book doesn't come out until April 27th, so mark it on your calendars!

A True Inspiration

I never consider myself a true fashionista: I call myself an aspiring fashionista. As a fashion queens in training, we are constantly trying to improve our style. Sometimes, we need an extra boost to enrich our passion and knowledge .On my British holiday, I sound quite English saying that, I found the perfect thing to inspire even the most self sufficient style queen: The Fashion exhibit at the Victoria and Albert. After acquiring knowledge about this exhibit, I anxiously awaited seeing it. While the Reinssance sculptures and artifacts were more than impressive, I was blown away by the fashion exhibit. Countless designers were in this collection, Yves Saint Laurent,Catherine Walker, Manolo Blahnik, Vivienne Westwood (who I learned is kinda a big deal in London), Christian Lacroix, as well as eighteenth century designers. Of course, a dress by the late and great Alexander McQueen was glorified as the dress of the year. It was truly inspiring to see fashion's transformation; I consequently wanted to study more about designers and time periods. Ultimately, I wanted to try my hardest to become a real fashionista. The earlier designs were so intricate, and fancy, which made me oddly long for the days of petticoats and chivalry...not like I ever experienced them! My absolute favorite piece was Jean Patou's elegant, yet casual, evening gown (pictured). It was a combination of everything I love: the silhouette and gold belt portrayed a vintage glamour and the shimmer exuded a whimsical femininity. Before this exhibit, I never knew who Jean Patou was. Then I a rather obvious epiphany: I need to research the obscure designers, not just Karl, Diana, and Donatella . If Jean Patou can pull of this amazing work, just think about what less famous designers can do! Although style is mainly about intuition and editing, we need to study it too!

Not Gonna Reach My Telephone!

While me and my friend, Emily aka cutluvandprosper.blogger.com ,were shopping until we literally dropped in London, we saw simply one of the coolest window displays. There, right in front of us, was Lady Gaga and Beyonce-esque mannequins dressed in their "Telephone" in the window of Bershka. I do believe that window displays are completely important: they show us what to expect when we enter their store. I mean, isn't it the window displays in Saks Fifth Avenue that excite us every Christmas? Everyone has flipped through Vogue or Harper's Bazaar, wishing they could emulate the fabulous cover girl or pull off a
certain trend seamlessly. But there's one
problem: you have no idea how to begin! Window displays are the perfect antidote for this problem! They say "home hither, I'll solve your fashion problems". Although Bershka has a Spanish origin, they target clothing at all fashionable teenagers. Emily and I had been to many places to shop: Brick Lane,Selfridges, TOPSHOP (my absolute favorite),and other random stores. We passed this store a plethora of times, completely ignoring its existence. The only reason we went in was because of the window display. Having just seen "Telephone" in it's entirity, I was intrigued to enter Bershka. Could I purchase all of these outfits, somehow transform my hair into Gaga's crazy locks, and poison a whole diner?! Unfortunately, that didn't happen, but I think this window display was genius on Bershka. Love her or hate her, I personally love because she's embracing originality, Lady Gaga is one of the hottest celebrities and fashion icons of our newborn decade. And "Telephone" is so hot right now; it's currently the number one downloaded music video on iTunes. Although I absolutely love all window displays because of their artistic quality and originality, this is my absolute favorite! It added both pop culture and fashion together. All of the other window displays are strictly fashion with a concept, but I think it's important to add a whimsical fashion world into reality. Now if you all excuse me, I'm going to listen to some Lady Gaga now!

Out With the Old, In With the New...

I lost my blogging virginity to "Peace, Love, Couture", which can be viewed at http://kmulvs.wordpress.com. Like the movie, this affair was also something to remember: forty-two blog posts about runways, red carpets, and generally all things fabulous. Unfortunately, my first blog and I had to part for irreconcilable differences: my blogging site was holding me back from expanding my audience and creating the best blog I possibly could. Consequently, I have moved to "blogger" and "Miss Chic" was born. In my mind, "Miss Chic's Guide to All Things Fabulous", we shall just call it "Miss Chic's", exemplifies a solidified blog: I was never content was the title or layout of "Peace,Love, Couture", it all seemed too redundant and not personal. But with this blog, I am content and have created a new persona: behold Miss Chic herself. As much as I'd love to be a fashion big shot like Anna Wintour or Kelly Cutrone, I am not. I suppose I am a fashion "guru" in comparison to others, but I am still learning what my personal style is and finding the tools to becoming a true fashionista. Anyone can be a Miss Chic, in my mind. It is not a matter of sitting front row at Fashion Week, it is the drive, interest, and confidence to enrich your fashion "skills". Fashion is my passion and obsession, but I'm still learning about it and using my blog as a way to express myself. I promise to make it fun and exciting, not some unimodal piece of junk. I hope that my readers, aka you, will enjoy what I have to say and learn a thing or two about fashion. What I'm trying to say is WELCOME TO MY BLOG; let's strap on our favorite heels and become the best fashionistas we can be!
